CYoung Talk
Community guidelines
CYoung Talk is where members compare real routines, ask CYoung and each other what to do about their skin, vote in product face-offs and share the occasional glowing (or rough) skin day. It works because people tell the truth about products, and because they are decent to each other while doing it. These are the few rules that keep it that way.
01Be kind, and be specific
Skin is personal. Disagree with a routine, never with the person. The most useful posts say what you used, for how long, on what skin type, and what actually changed — “it broke me out” helps nobody; “two weeks on oily, acne-prone skin, closed comedones on the chin by day ten” helps everyone.
02No diagnoses, no medical claims
Share what worked for you; don't tell someone what condition they have or what to stop taking. Anything that sounds like “this cures eczema” or “skip the dermatologist” gets removed. If a post describes a rash, a burn or a reaction that is getting worse, the right answer is a doctor, and members are welcome to say so.
03No spam, no undisclosed promotion
Affiliate links, discount codes and “DM me for my routine” are not conversation. If you work for or with a brand, say so in the post. Reposting the same product across threads counts as spam even when the product is good.
04Say when a product was free
Testers in the tester programme receive products at no cost. Tester reviews themselves stay private — they go to CYoung and the brand as a report — but if you talk about a tester product in the feed, mention that it was sent to you. Readers weigh a free product differently, and they should.
05Your own photos only
Upload photos you took of your own skin, shelf or products. No pictures of other people, no screenshots of someone else's face, no images lifted from a brand site. Photos on posts, comments, reviews and shared skin logs are uploaded to CYoung's own storage — links to outside images are not accepted.
What gets removed, and how to report
Posts, comments and reviews that break the rules above are taken down — harassment, medical misinformation and spam first, and without a warning.
To report something, sign in and use Report. On a post or a product review it is a button on the page — pick a reason (spam, inappropriate, misinformation, harassment or other) and it goes straight to the moderation queue. On a comment it is one tap, in the “···” menu next to the comment. One report per item is enough. You can also block a member from their profile: you stop seeing their posts and comments, and they can no longer comment on yours or follow you.
CYoung Team moderates every report. If you think a removal was a mistake, write to us through the contact page.
