Terms of Service

1. Services

CYoung provides a K-beauty community (CYoung Talk, face-offs, reviews and a skin log), a tester programme that connects members with Korean skincare brands, a shop, a blog, and online and in-person K-Beauty masterclasses. All services are subject to availability and may be updated, paused or modified at any time.

2. Accounts

• You must be old enough to consent to online services in your country to create an account.
• One account per person. Do not create additional accounts to vote, like, or enter tester rounds more than once, or to get around a suspension.
• Your nickname must be 2–20 characters using only letters, numbers, dots, underscores and hyphens, must be unique, and must not impersonate CYoung, our team, moderators or another person. Names containing "admin", "cyoung", "moderator", "support" or "official" are reserved.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you think it has been compromised.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or our Community Guidelines or that abuse the tester programme, and we may remove content from such accounts.
• You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).

3. Community Content

• You own what you post. Posts, comments, reviews, face-off entries, skin log entries you share, and the images you upload remain yours.
• Licence to CYoung. By posting, you grant CYoung a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content on cyounginyou.com and in site features such as feeds, highlights, notifications, search results, link previews and emails to members, for as long as the content stays on the site. This licence does not let us use your community content in paid advertising without asking you.
• Public by nature. Community content is visible to anyone on the internet. Do not post anything you would not want public, and do not post other people's private information.
• Prohibited content. Do not post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, spam or undisclosed advertising, that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, that makes false medical claims, or that you do not have the right to share (including photos of other people without their consent).
• Honesty. Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. Disclose any free product, discount or relationship with a brand.
• Removal. We may edit, hide or remove any content, and restrict any account, at our discretion and without notice when we believe these Terms or the Community Guidelines have been broken.
• Reporting. Use the report option on any post, comment or review to flag spam, harassment, misinformation or inappropriate content. You can also block members you do not want to see or hear from.

4. Tester Programme

• Products in the tester programme are provided free of charge by participating brands. Being selected for a round is at CYoung's and the brand's discretion, and applying does not guarantee selection.
• If you accept a round, you agree to use the product as directed and to submit an honest, original review with photos within the window stated for that round. Overdue reviews reduce your chances in future draws.
• Your shipping details are shared with the brand only so it can ship the parcel, and before a round is confirmed the brand sees only your country, city and skin type.
• The brand receives your review, scores and photos for the round you tested. For rounds confirmed on or after October 27, 2026, taking part means your review, scores and photos are published on the product's page under your nickname, marked as a product you received free, and may be quoted by the brand. Photos may show only the product. You may ask us to remove a published review at any time.
• For rounds confirmed before October 27, 2026, public or marketing use of your review by CYoung or the brand happens only with your explicit consent, given on the review form. Anything published uses your first name only and states that you received the product free. You may withdraw that consent at any time and we will take the review down.
• Tester products are for your personal use and may not be resold. Customs duties or taxes on a tester parcel, where they apply, are not covered by CYoung.
• You can pause or leave the programme at any time from the Testers page.

5. Shop Orders

• All orders are processed securely through PayPal. We never see or store your card details.
• Prices are shown in US dollars. We ship from Seoul, Korea to most countries worldwide; standard delivery typically takes 7–14 business days depending on your location and local customs processing.
• Customs or import duties may apply depending on your country and are the buyer's responsibility.
• We offer a 30-day return policy for unopened and unused items. To start a return, contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and reason. Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive the returned items. Return shipping costs to Korea are the buyer's responsibility.
• If an order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us through the Contact page with your order email, country and PayPal transaction ID and we will resolve it.
• Some products are sold on behalf of partner brands. Those orders are dispatched by the brand, but you can still contact CYoung about them.

6. Class Bookings and Payments

• Class booking requests are submitted through the form on our Classes page; we confirm the date and time by email.
• Payments are processed securely via PayPal.
• Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

7. Class Cancellation and Refund Policy

• You may cancel or reschedule a class up to 48 hours before the scheduled time.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are non-refundable.
• No-shows are non-refundable.

8. Class Participation

• Classes are for personal educational use only.
• Recording, redistribution, or resale of class content without permission is strictly prohibited.

9. Intellectual Property

CYoung's content. The CYoung name and logo, our blog articles, videos, product photography, class materials, site design and software are the intellectual property of CYoung or its licensors and may not be copied, republished or used commercially without written permission.

Member content. Content posted by members belongs to the member who posted it and is licensed to CYoung as described in section 3. Other members may view and interact with it on the site but may not copy or republish it elsewhere without the author's permission. Brand names and product images belong to their respective owners.

10. Limitation of Liability

Content on this site, including community posts, reviews and blog articles, is shared for general information and is not medical advice. Always patch-test new products and consult a professional for skin conditions. CYoung is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website, reliance on community content, use of tester or shop products, or participation in classes.

11. External Links

This website may contain links to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content or policies of those services.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with applicable laws.
