Sad day... I just got my "official notice" email from/about Olive Young
Is anyone else in the US? I received the email this morning saying that effective 5/29/26 people in US will have to order from the US Olive Young. That means the products we will be getting aren't the same as the ones we currently get from Olive Young (authentic Korean). Is there any way to bypass this? I know of YesStyle and Stylevana, but haven't ordered from them yet. Are they reputable? I have ordered from Amore Mall, but they don't carry as many products it seems as OY. HELP!

I received the same email. I was thinking the products will be the same except for the sunscreen because of the FDA not approving Korean filters?? I hope that’s true! YesStyle and Stylevana are both great and reputable but the only downside is the slow shipping to the US. So I would order a month before you need the products. IHerb online is another reputable US place I often buy my Korean products when I dont feel like waiting, they have a good selection but they don’t carry every single brand. I’ve also heard Jolse is good but I’ve never ordered from there. Moida and SkinCupid are also in the US now and they both sell products direct from Korea. Hope this helps, I love getting my goodies directly from Korea as well. There’s something exciting to receive a full box from the source! Lol
@JennPet1 - ohhh I hope is only the Suncscreen (which I will stock up on in the meantime)! The US needs to catch up in that market for sure! I wonder if there is anyone we can ask about this, to make sure. CYOUNG, any idea on where we can get that answer??? Makes me want to open up a shop and get the good stuff to sell here.
I always buy from YesStyle and I’ve ordered quite a few times from Stylevana. Both are definitely reputable. I swear by them!
You guys are so sharp! 🔍 It’s true—even brands like d'Alba have different formulas for their Korean vs. U.S. sunscreens because of those strict FDA regulations. If it’s shipping from within the States, the sunscreen is likely the 'global version' with different filters. As for other skincare or makeup, the differences are usually minimal, but I’m reaching out to a few brand insiders to get the 100% facts for you. I'll post a formal update in the community once I have the answers! And @Gabking1217, a curated shop? Now that is a brilliant idea! 😉✨
I have talked to my daughter and DIL seriously about opening up a Korean Skincare shop here in San Antonio (Texas). I love the stuff that much!
No way to bypass it. OY will shop from their US warehouse. Not sure if that means they’ll carry limited items for everything or only limited sunscreens that are FDA approved. Yesstyle is legit. I’ve ordered BOJ sunscreen from them and OY. Packaging is the same. They’re responsive too. Compare to stylevana, they haven’t replied to my question but they’re recommended by many influencers so I think the het legit too.
Well sad day today=( I was forced to change to the OY US website as the global one isn't allowed to ship to the US (you can't select it anymore, the option has vanished). I am praying the products being sold in US are authentic Korean. I know the sunscreens aren't the same. Glad my daughter is going to Korea next month as I already have a list for her to buy for me! In the meantime, I guess Amore Mall, StyleKorean, YesStyle and Stylevana it is. OY just had the best and fastest shipping!
It is a sad day. As I was browsing through the site I noticed that half the products I use aren’t even available to purchase. The US site doesn’t carry them!!! They seem to have only a select number of products per brand and they don’t even carry Aestura or Celimax!!
I ordered from Jolse and my experience was good. It was when I first started using Korean products and before I found CYoung. So I wasn’t as knowledgeable about the brands. But they offered lots of samples and the shipping didn’t seem to take too long. They just don’t have everything I’m looking for.
