Fungal Acne Advice
Hi everyone
My husband has fungal acne and we have been told to only use skincare that doesn’t ‘feed’ the yeast on his skin.
Does anyone have any suggestions for hydrating products that are water based and won’t clog pores or feed the yeast?
He currently uses the serum and moisturiser gel pictured. They are good but not quite as hydrating as he would like.

Hello @JoDHUK, can I ask you a question, what type of skin does he have apart from acne-prone? I am combination-oily skin & I use the Isntree HA aqua gel cream, just not on my T-zone (forehead & nose) but it depends on his skin type.
He has sensitive skin that is dry
@JoDHUK Hi! May I ask what treatment method your husband has been using for his fungal acne?
He has been using Nisoral a couple of times a week. He did have a course of antifungal oral meds and they cleared it up initially - but it’s coming back, I think because of the heat.
Hi Jo!💙🩵 From my experience with clients, I’ve noticed that people taking those medications often have much drier skin. I don’t think you necessarily need a super-rich cream, though. CYoung Hana Moisturizer is actually great for this kind of skin. A lot of men use it too! I’d suggest one layer during the day, and 2–3 layers at night. As the weather gets colder, if you still feel dehydrated with Torriden, layering Aestura Atobarrier Hydro Essence twice can be really helpful for that deeper, tight feeling. I’m actually planning to feature this in my CYoung Pick Market in September, so hang in there just a little longer! ❤️
