I do not live in a tropical country, so I am not sure how helpful I will be. Do you know what ingredient or ingredients in the TirTir light toner you reacted to so that we can avoid recommending something to you that contains it? This summer (not tropical but still very humid) I used Ositree Dynamic Clear Sun Primer SPF 50+ PA++++. It's Chinese. It is a thin serum so it won't feel heavy in hot, humid weather. It goes on oily but dries down beautifully. Your skin may like the oil. I have combo skin and did well but would powder my t-zone. It wears well under makeup. I do not reapply it. Instead, I use a tinted SPF moisturizer on top. I also wear hats outside. My dermatologist recommended using a mineral sunscreen powder for reapplication, so I'm waiting for that to come in the mail. A few times when I needed an SPF boost and had makeup on, I used the Round Lab Birch Juice sun cushion. It's very light and I buffed the serum onto my skin instead of swiping. It didn't spoil my foundation but it did brighten/whiten my complexion. It worked but I wouldn't recommend it if you're going somewhere other than home. I'm sure there are a few folks here with sensitive skin who may recommend some Japanese sunscreens which are formulated for a humid climate. I don't have personal experience with any of these though.
