Skin Q&A

Closed comedones and after-pimple redness issue

Hi, so recently I'm having a really big issue, I have after-pimple redness that doesn't want to fade.. the redness is because I push my comedones (on cheeks) and they're becoming a pimple.. I want to prevent that comedones at all but I don't really know what to use. I'm using now round lab's 1025 Dokdo Cleanser, mixsoon's Glacier Water Hyaluronic Acid Serum, and meixsoon's bean cream, I am sensitive and dry skin girly. What do you guys recommend to do or buy? please, let me know! ᓚᘏᗢ

Hi love💕physically picking at your skin is literally creating MORE scarring and you’ll end up regretting it even more bc it becomes such a hard habit to break 😭 First step: STOP picking! Switch to an oil-based cleanser — oil cleansers are honestly the BEST for melting away those stubborn blackheads/whiteheads without you having to dig at them. If you’re very sensitive skin, a cleansing milk might be option too 🙌 After that, just layer your serum + moisturizer like you already do to lock in hydration. Your skin barrier will thank you and that redness will calm down so much faster once you’re not constantly irritating it. You got this! ♥️

Thanks for this advice 💗🫧 One more question, what cleansing milk do you recommend? I was thinking about round lab cleansing milk but maybe you know better cleansing milk than that?

The best-selling cleansing milk at Olive Young is make p:rem! If you’re okay spending a bit more, I highly recommend Holitual. It’s only available on the Global Amore Mall, but it’s incredibly gentle while still cleansing really well. I even used it during my postpartum recovery at the maternity care center because it’s so mild on sensitive skin.
