Skin Q&A

Everyone recommends Anua toner but I feel nothing after using it for a month

I've been using the Anua Heartleaf 77% toner for about 5 weeks. It's fine I guess but it just feels like water? My skin doesn't look different. Am I missing something or should I keep going?

Honestly? I don't really understand the hype around it either. It's very watery, dries quickly, and unless you have very oily skin it doesn't do a whole lot. When I reviewed it, I found that using it with cotton pads — the way most people use toners — can actually irritate thin or sensitive skin because of the friction. And if you overuse it, it can cause redness. After a month, if you're feeling nothing, that's your answer. The toner that actually impressed me is the Numbuzin No.3 Super Glowing Essence Toner — it's more concentrated, closer to a serum in texture, and you apply it with your hands (not cotton pads). Much more nourishing, especially for dry or mature skin. That said — if you have oily skin and you just want something light and refreshing between steps, the Anua toner is fine for that purpose. It's just being sold as something more significant than it is. What's your skin type? That changes the recommendation significantly.
