Testing or testers

Has anyone gotten any testing products recently? I have hearts on products but haven't gotten anything in over a month, so just curious?!

Girl you have 7 products completed already! 👀👀 I think the matching system might be a bit slow sometimes but yea I got another one a few days ago but still hasn’t been shipped! So far that’s my third one so I don’t think there’s anything wrong

@Viivihtips LOL I didn't realize I had 7 already! It just seemed like it was okay they are coming in amd now it's a dry spell. Haha!

I have one lol I have to catch up it seems

hazelmossSensitiveabout 20 hours ago

What have you been able to test?

S
SoraDryabout 20 hours ago

@hazelmoss The N2U face mist. I’m still testing it rn but today I’ve had a bad flare up so I can’t even put water on my face without it burning

G
Gabking1217Dryabout 20 hours ago

@Sora oh man! That is horrible to hear. I liked the mist (but normal to dry skin here). I know several have liked it but evidently it isn't for sensitive skin. 🥴 I hope you can kick the flare to the curb soon!

H
hazelmossSensitiveabout 20 hours ago

@Sora 😩 so sorry! Does a gel pack or ice pack help or does all contact hurt? Sending green cica vibes.

S
SoraDryabout 18 hours ago

@Gabking1217 I also have dry skin. I like the mist overall but probably not something I’d buy. The fragrance isn’t ideal for my dry sensitive skin and I much prefer Aestura between the two mists. Thank you! This flare is such a pain

S
SoraDryabout 18 hours ago

@hazelmoss all contact hurts. I do have a green cica mask but I dare not even put that on my skin until at least 24 hours after a flare ends. I hope your skin is going better than mine

It does seem random. I was matched with two items, I think, but one was mentioned quite a while ago and I haven't had an email about it since. Just got matched again, but that is all since the first round of 4 items. I just keep trialing my backlog of skincare products until I win the "testing" lottery again.

I have a feeling that’s because we are sensitive little creatures and most of products are for normal skin type. Probably not many things are coming our way since they might be worried of getting “bad” reviews due to allergies and reactions. On the other hand now would be the perfect time for them to test it out in sensitive skin people willing to try stuff, maybe they realise their products could work for us too!

H
hazelmossSensitiveabout 21 hours ago

@Viivihtips That could be -- though it stinks because normal skin types are spoiled for choice. The products I tested that were "sensitive safe" were too harsh for me to use daily. But I was able to give an objective review. The products are good, just not a match for me.

MariacasinoSensitiveabout 9 hours ago

But I'm sensitive too and I got the Kiera eyelashes serums, their mask, the Skin52&Co mist and the Suiple serum! So it's really random! I was so sad at the beginning I lost a match because my postal number was missing a space and the system couldn't recognize it 😢. It must be random but they say they give priority to people that had fewer tests.

G
Gabking1217Dryabout 4 hours ago

@Mariacasino oh how interesting! What did you think of the Kiera serums? I didn't find that my lashes grew, but they definitely seemed healthier I think. I hearted teh Suiple serum, but didn't get it (yet?). The Skin52 mist was nice though! Sad that your post couldn't figure that out. =(

M
MariacasinoSensitiveabout 3 hours ago

@Gabking1217 That aligns so closely with my experience! The Kiera lash serum is definitely more of a nourishing conditioner than a dramatic prostaglandin-style growth serum. My lashes feel softer, more flexible, and experience way less shedding/breakage, but don't expect overnight extensions... it's pure lash maintenance and follicle conditioning, which honestly is so much safer around reactive eyes!

H
hazelmossSensitiveabout 1 hour ago

@Mariacasino @Gabking1217 For products like that, too, it's hard to see real results in a 2-3 week trial. That's not even the full growth cycle of a hair follicle. 🙅🏼‍♀️ Prostaglandins!

RualmaSensitiveabout 23 hours ago

Seven products? So jealous! I just got my second one, both are really great. What did you test so far?

G
Gabking1217Dryabout 21 hours ago

@Rualma I didn't realize was 7. Lol! I have had Kelp shampoo, Bluewater Marine barrier cream, Kiara lash serum (clear and black), creme balm lip balm, Skin52 mist, Kiara face mask... I loved the creme balm and kelp shampoo. Really liked the Skin52 mist and marine barrier cream. The rest were okay. The mask is a thick heavy mask that slid off my face so that was not good. You can tell it was saturated with product though.

H
hazelmossSensitiveabout 20 hours ago

@Gabking1217 Those hydrogel masks you gotta hang onto for a minute or two until they start to dry down a little. Then they're great! I'm glad you had a good experience with the Kelp shampoo. It did make my scalp squeaky clean but it turned the bleached ends of my hair into match sticks. CremeBalm was the jackpot. Did you know the pupper's face on the logo is named Crema? 😍😍😍 I'm a cat mama but I love their logo.

G
Gabking1217Dryabout 20 hours ago

@hazelmoss I put it on (mask) and was watching TV and it slid right off so I took all of the product and smeared iy all over my face. It isn't like I was moving around a lot to cause it to do that. :( I did not know about the puppers being Crema! I have both, a dog and a cat. They get along famously, literally! 🐕🐺 Also on the shampoo, my hair is au naturale so it didn't bother me at all. My husband liked it too. I just wish they would have sent conditioner with the shampoo...! I'm sorry you have such sensitive and reactive skin. 😟 I bet makes you leary of trying new products...?!

H
hazelmossSensitiveabout 20 hours ago

@Gabking1217 Well...it should make me leary of trying new products but the dopamine effect is stronger. I agree about the conditioner! I wonder if that's used as much in Korea because I have another shampoo for hair loss that comes with a treatment but isn't considered a conditioner. Isn't it funny about the cat / dog stereotype? My cats never got along with each other but they were just fine with my mom's dog.

G
Gabking1217Dryabout 20 hours ago

@hazelmoss I have the Labo-H shampoo and scalp capsule treatment currently. I like it, I don't know that it is helping but I do like it! I am debating on the tonic or clinic hairline ampoule.... OR if I want to try 107 Beauty. I have heard good things about the hair & scalp hydrating microbiome treatment as well as some of the skincare. And stereotype is hilarious! My Jillybean (standard poodle) literally will ring the bell every morning at 6am so I can let Harley (old cat) inside and feed them both. Jillybean is 4 and Harley is 14. I honestly don't know what Jillybean is going to do when Harley crosses the rainbow bridge one of these years. Harley is an inside and outside cat (her choice). She has been the absolute best. She never wonders off (we live in the country) and she doesn't go potty in house or yard. She will go through the surrounding yard fence and go potty in pasture and come right back. Self taught. She is amazing! BUT she recently got out on thyroid medication. Vet said some cats do that the older they get. So twice a day we give her meds and she is fine.

H
hazelmossSensitiveabout 20 hours ago

@Gabking1217 Jillybean is the sweetest name ever! I love that. And i love that she looks out for Harley. My Gandalf would have been 12 this summer but he developed diabetes four years ago and went downhill pretty fast last winter. I don't know what *I* would do without Pippin. Sending healthy vibes for Harley and good results with her medication.

@hazelmoss @Gabking1217 I’ve also tested the mask and it’s quite heavy as you mentioned but it does take a while to settle, they even said that on the instructions but they mentioned to be something like 5 minutes or so (can’t remember exactly now) but to me it took an hour. The upper part settled almost immediately but the bottom one was the one that nearly took an hour! After that I used it for around 4 hours until it was completely transparent and stiff! It gave me a very nice glowy, dewy glass skin after I took it off and then I went to bed and when I woke up my face was still glowing so I actually loved the product! I did wrote on my review about the settling part being a bit annoying and also maybe something to make it less slippery would help massively too because I nearly dropped it a few times 😂 (The picture was right after applying the mask and you can see the chin area wouldn’t stay in place for its dear life for the whole first hour)

G
Gabking1217Dryabout 18 hours ago

@Viivihtips I kept having to pull it up for 15 minutes and got tired of having to do it so I gave up and just wiped the stuff all over mu face and neck.

S
SoraDryabout 17 hours ago

@hazelmoss Wait wait wait wait….. you didn’t tell me you’re a Tolkien fan! I am OBSESSED with lotr!

H
hazelmossSensitiveabout 13 hours ago

@Viivihtips See, now I have to put a hydrogel mask on with my snail headband! 🐌 I see a Test Free uniform coming together! That sounds like a lot of annoyance for the glow, but at least the glow lasted!

H
hazelmossSensitiveabout 13 hours ago

@Sora I'm egregiously obsessed with LOTR. My colleague and I just threw a Hobbit Tea at our library for the 25th anniversary of the films (I'm the non-binary hobbit wearing petroleum jelly for day 1 in rosacea jail). The Hobbit is one of the earliest memories I have of my dad reading to us -- I'm still scared of Gollum! During a particularly difficult time in my early 30s I broke my "no fandom tattoo" rule and got Smaug as a reminder of this quote: "So comes snow after fire and even dragons have their endings." Of course, Tolkien meant 🦞 but his editors made him change it. 😜

@Gabking1217 Thank you! He's the sweetest middle-aged baby.

ViivihtipsOilyabout 10 hours ago

@hazelmoss @Gabking1217 I mean .. it’s annoying but I believe all of these masks that you need to wear it for a long time are a bit annoying in general hahah but yea the flow did last and also compared to other masks I thought this was a completely mess free one based on how the mask was protected between two plastic sheets my hands stayed cleaned the whole time! I’m not a huge fan of face masks but every now and then I would wear one when I’m too lazy to do skincare routine 😂

V
ViivihtipsOilyabout 10 hours ago

@hazelmoss about the snail headband, yessss please! They’re so cute 🐌🐌

I want to bring in my experience with masks and the Kiera one. I've had Medicube and Biodance and compared to those, the Kiera is more slippery, but it took me only some minutes to set. I think it has to do not only with my skin (that has the tendency to be dry, but I'm not like the Sahara desert 😅 recently I am pretty shiny all the time since my barrier is healthy and I prioritize hydration) but also with the environment dryness. Seriously here in sweden, when I moved, I had electrostatic hair all the time and my body skin started to flake..! So, moral of the story, when I apply a face mask like that, it takes minutes to stick to my skin and I can keep it on for max 3-4 hours because on the warmest parts of my face it gets dry very fast. And if I keep a dry mask on my face too long, my skin gets red. 🦞

G
Gabking1217Dryabout 5 hours ago

@Mariacasino I am just not huge fan of masks I guess. I keep getting them in my orders from Amore Mall though. Check out all these freebies ai just got from them. They are the best at samples by far. And fast shipping too. I ordered just over a week ago and already received my order.

G
Gabking1217Dryabout 4 hours ago

@Viivihtips agreed. I am not a huge fan of masks either, but I will certainly try them out to see if I like them.

H
hazelmossSensitiveabout 1 hour ago

@Mariacasino I had that experience when I moved to Minnesota -- which is full of Scandinavian descendants, lol. They went from cold to cold. My legs would crack and bleed in the winter. And yes to the hydrogel masks situation. I can't let it dry down all the way or else flushing. 🦞 I enjoy the cool sensation while it's on my face, but sheet masks are a safer alternative for me and always for about half the time listed on the package.
