It might sound obvious, but SPF, SPF, SPF! A Modern Korean SPF 50+ (formulas like Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Airyfit or Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica feel like a light moisturizer, so you don't even need a separate morning lotion). 🧴 🌞
@Mariacasino I agree, it doesn’t matter what products you use if you don’t lock them in with sunscreen. Great examples of sunscreeens, I am actually going to try the Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica soon. Hopefully this was helpful for you @Emily
I'm going to go super SUPER simple and basic here and say: hygienic skincare practices.
Diligent adherence to basic skin hygiene can reduce exposure to bacteria and cross contamination of irritating substances.
1. Wash your hands before you wash your face. - Clean hands are important when touching skin, washing/cleansing, and applying product or makeup. The goal is to prevent the transfer of unwanted dirt, oils, bacteria, or residue from the hands, to the face (or whatever you're cleaning. ) Sterile gloves would also work if for some reason you are unable to wash your hands.
2. Frequently clean the things that are going to be touching your skin the most. This includes washcloths, towels, pillowcases, makeup brushes, skincare applicators or devices, and your hair.
For me is cleansing foam/gel to remove all the dirties (poluttion, Oil, and skincare products) and sunscreen. For many years I didn’t use SPF daily (only on the beach), I wasn’t aware of sun damage to ageing skin. Also, westerns sunscreens are heavy, they breakout my skin. But love the Kbeauty SPFs, they are super light and fluid.
Agree to what everyone said, especially using sunscreen and cleansing your skin in the evening. Also would like to add to not use too many products/actives to not overwhelm your skin. I loved to use 8 products at once, but all I got was congested and pissed off skin 🙃
When I stripped it back and focused on hydration, my skin was way happier

So true! I remember as a teenager reusing my makeup brushes and ending up with "unexpected" acne 🫣
