"I Used Points for This" And Other Excuses to Shop Skincare
I'll go first.
File this product under, "It won't cure my mental illness, but it doesn't automatically depress me either."
Maybe I was in my feelings. Maybe it was $30 off. Maybe it's full retail price is twice the cost of the prescription medication my insurance won't cover since rosacea treatments are "cosmetic."
I bought it. I'm bougie. Maybe, just maybe, I'll look less red ๐ฆ and the only burning sensation will come from my wallet.
No influence. No serotonin, either.

Retail therapy is so real ๐ Iโm a man of science. I tell myself โmaybe this product will help my skin more than the one Iโm currently using so I HAVE to buy it to try it, right? I wonโt know unless I try it, I could be using something way better for my skin if I just let myself try one of everythingโ ๐ When deep down inside I know I just love that feeling of opening the packaging box and seeing a new product ๐
A man of science and dopamine!
Omg tatcha has been on my wish list for forever but itโs so expensive
Soooooo expensive. I got the jar at $30 off and I'm trying very hard to make myself believe that it's ok. I'm going to try to enjoy it because this is for sure a "one night stand" product. Incidentally, Dr Sam Ellis is correct. Texturally, Isintree Mugwart Calming Cream IS a dupe though better suited for daytime. They don't share ingredients but I could empty out my tubes of the mugwort cream into the TATCHA jar and pretend later when the indigo cream is gone. We'll see if it's also a functional dupe.
