Changpo Root Ritual Scalp Serum is the product I didn't know my routine needed. Having broad experience with OTC and prescription scalp treatments has left me feeling less than sanguine toward products like this, especially with fine, sparse hair and a damaged scalp.

How is it that MOGAM figured out how to make a light misting serum practical and effective when major pharmaceutical companies with all of their funding can't figure out how to make medicated topicals that don't wreck my hair and my pillow case?

Participant Environment:
🚿 Tap water: HARD at 30-35 GPG / 513-599 PPM.

🧴 Current scalp products: Hair Fall shampoo and conditioner treatment, clarifying shampoo, leave-in conditioner, bond repair cream and oil, curl gel or heat/styling sprays, dry shampoos.

Participant Profile:
🙋🏼‍♀️ Age range 40-45 years
🙋🏼‍♀️ Sex: Female
🙋🏼‍♀️ Hair Type: Fine, sparse, curly/wavy, color-treated

Scalp condition:
🦞 Diagnosed with plaque psoriasis in 2015, left mostly untreated until 2023.
💊 Began injectable treatment in 2023, but switched to a new oral medication in July 2026, scalp currently experiencing a transition blitz.
😶‍🌫️ Due to hard water and extremely sensitive skin, I can only tolerate showering 2x per week or risk barrier damage.

Concerns & Symptoms:

Review:
After the serum is administered and dries down, it’s an effective worker bee in the background. I didn’t notice the serum after application (no residue, tackiness, lingering scent, etc.) but I did notice the effects on my scalp -- which is exactly the kind of scalp product you want. I’m used to it working the other way around where the serum is very evident, but the effects…not so much.

The serum felt immediately soothing and provided a noticeable drop in flakes and plaques within the first two days of treatment. No intense tingling or menthol bombs! The serum left my hair in good condition for styling after application. It increased the comfort of my scalp 10 fold between wash days, which meant less picking, scratching, and general damage to my scalp, which can be seen in the "before" photos.

The product prevented embarrassing flaking, and also reduced scalp breakouts / folliculitis significantly. My scalp felt renewed and clean after use, even on day 3 between washes. The serum interacted perfectly with my hair products and didn’t damage my color treated hair. It even made my hair look more hydrated after use on dry shampoo.

Morning application lasted almost the entire work day -- no embarrassing scratching during meetings. I definitely needed a refresh before my commute, though. I would love a travel size bottle to keep in my purse for touchups.

Performance remained consistent so I did not feel like I needed to trial for the full 3 weeks available in order to establish effectiveness. It's definitely still in my routine though! It's been a great addition.

Little noticeable effect at this time:
Scalp/follicle sensitivity to combing or pulling hair back has remained. I'll be interested to see if this improves with longer use since the serum is so effective at calming inflammation.
