Love all of it, lots of Aestura and IOPE skincare products! You can never have too many options to choose from, I like the Aestura lotion a lot for my hands, leaves them feeling soft and satin-like and their cream for my body, amazing! 👌🏼
Thank you! 🥰 I definitely love having different options to choose from depending on what my skin needs that day. My skin is very sensitive and dry but also acne-prone, so that’s actually why I have products from so many different AESTURA and IOPE lines. Both brands have honestly made such a huge difference for my skin. I love the AESTURA lotion too! I use it when my skin isn’t extremely dry because it gives me the perfect balance of hydration without feeling too heavy. If you like the lotion, I really recommend trying the new AESTURA ATOBARRIER365 Hydro Soothing Cream as well, especially if you have oilier skin or find the regular ATOBARRIER365 Cream too rich for your face. It’s lightweight but still gives me enough hydration, and it even has a slight cooling effect that feels really nice. And my absolute holy grail from AESTURA is their Hydro Essence! I always come back to it. 🤍
@Veky Exactly, give the skin what it asks for! So I started off using the lotion on my face but it ended up being a hand cream. So did purchase the Aestura - hydro soothing for the exact reason you brought up, I’m oily but I do enjoy the cooling effect very much 😭 Have you currently tried any face masks? I found out a month ago that I love wearing face gel masks especially when I chill them for about 10 minutes, it feels amazing! CYoung got me hooked with a product test review that I did for her. Oh I haven’t heard of their hydro essence, let me take a look. Oh yeah, I don’t think I have a holy grail or a favorite product. If I have to pick one it would have to be my Innisfree - Vitmain C 7%+Niacinamide rollerball, it helps brighten my eyes because I have hollow eyes. I keep it in the fridge so when I use it, it feels amazing on my under-eye skin 🤩
@Paul I swear, everyone I’ve seen try the Aestura Hydro Essence ends up loving it regardless of whether they have oily, dry or sensitive skin 😭 Even CYoung recommends it as one of her holy grail essences. I’ve personally gone through 10+ bottles at this point, so that probably says enough 😂 I’m actually a huge face mask person — I use them pretty much every day! For longer-wear gel masks, my favorites are the Primera Vitatinol Serum Mega-Shot Gel Mask and their new 3C-Hyaluronic Acid Serum Mega-Shot Gel Mask. The 3C one has such a nice cooling effect and genuinely helps with depuffing. IOPE Multi-Vitamin 10% Ultimate Toning Gel Mask is another one that gives me that instant “wow” skin afterward. It’s pricier, so I save it for special occasions. Their Retinol Serum Gel Mask is also amazing and probably the easiest way to try IOPE’s retinol before committing to the serum — it’s a really gentle but effective hybrid gel/mesh mask that you leave on longer. For quicker everyday masks, I love Etude SoonJung Panthensoside and basically all the Hanyul masks — Pure Artemisia Watery Calming, Red Rice Moisture Firming and Yuja Brightening. They’re perfect for around 10 minutes. I also love Hanyul’s Yuja Vitamin C Sleeping Mask and Yuja toner pads, and sometimes I use their Pure Artemisia toner pads as a mini face mask. I’m waiting to try the Aestura A-CICA365 Soothing Repair Masks too since I already love their toner pads. And honestly, Missha sheet masks are so underrated and budget-friendly — I’ve used them for years and they have so many versions for different skin concerns. I was actually considering buying that Innisfree Vitamin C + Niacinamide rollerball, and I think you’ve convinced me 😂 I need a good daytime eye product and I already love Innisfree. If you like their Vitamin C line, try the Innisfree Vitamin C Green Tea Serum Gel Mask too! And since you love cooling skincare, you NEED to try Cell Fusion C Cooling Pads and their First Cooling Mask — genuinely some of the most cooling products I’ve ever used, absolute lifesavers when my skin feels overheated. Also looking at your shelf, I realized we actually like quite a few of the same products 😂 The 107 shampoo is one of my favorites too, and I also really like the Round Lab Dokdo toner, COSRX peptides and Lipikar AP+. I feel like we have pretty similar taste in skincare!
@Veky Oh really, I must have not been paying attention in her video uh-oh! Let me make a note of some of the products you just named, I like trying new things and experimenting so I will get back to you on the Aestura Hydro essence as soon as one of mine run out so I can try it out for myself. Yes face masks is where it’s at especially when you get out of the shower and your whole body feels so hot, the cooled masks help out so much! I use the Whamisa - organic Algae body mist for the hot body. So far I have tried the brands Kiera, Biodance, Anua, Laniege and Rejuran and try to obtain the best ones for oily skin and some collagen ones but no retinol because I am dedicatedly using crystal retinal 20 by MEDIK8 We actually have quite a lot of skin care products in common when I went over your shelf audit, awesome! I too use the Beauty 107, La Roche-Posay Lipikar AP+, Dokdo toner, etc. Cell Fusion c Cooling pads, got it!! 😂
@Veky I have a new tube of AESTURA Hydro Soothing Cream waiting for when my skincare routine gets out of Rosacea Jail. What are your top Holy Grails from this list?
I have a backup of the Hydro Soothing Cream too 😂 I feel like you always need a backup of the products you know your skin can rely on! Unfortunately, I struggle with rosacea as well, along with atopic dermatitis and very sensitive, dry skin that is somehow also acne-prone 😭 So finding products that work for my skin can be really difficult. That’s probably why so many of my holy grails are from AESTURA — when my skin gets angry, they’re usually the products I can fall back on. From your list, my absolute holy grails would probably be the AESTURA Atobarrier365 Hydro Essence, Hydro Soothing Cream and the regular Atobarrier365 Cream. I especially love applying a thin layer of the Hydro Soothing Cream and then sealing everything in with the regular Atobarrier Cream at night. I also LOVE the AESTURA Hydro Cera-HA Serum. When my skin barrier is damaged and my skin is freaking out, it’s one of the few serums I can still comfortably use. Honestly, the whole blue Atobarrier line becomes my safety net at that point — including the cleanser, mist and Capsule Toner. When redness is my main issue, I usually reach for the A-CICA365 line. If I had to recommend one product, I’d probably pick the cream because I love the slightly cooling feeling and it really helps calm my skin, but I also like the serum, toner and cooling pads. And when my skin is REALLY having a bad time, La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume is another emergency product for me. I’ll sometimes apply it as the final layer at night and leave it on overnight. Outside of AESTURA, Laneige Cream Skin Cerapeptide is another product I can use pretty much regardless of what my skin is doing. It’s especially nice when my skin has that deeper dehydrated/dry feeling rather than just surface dryness. For treatment products, some of my favorites are the IOPE PDRN Caffeine Shot, AESTURA Regederm365 serum and IOPE Retinol Super Bounce Serum. Super Bounce was actually the first retinol product my sensitive skin tolerated well! I’m now trying IOPE Reti-Jection and Retinol Expert 0.1% too, and so far I’ve been able to tolerate those as well. Another product that really surprised me was the IOPE Vitamin C Expert 40% Mask Concentrate. With “40% Vitamin C” in the name, I honestly thought there was no way my sensitive skin would tolerate it 😂, but it actually does really well with it. I only use it about once a week at night and make sure to follow with plenty of hydration, and my skin looks SO good the next day. Wellage Real Hyaluronic Blue 100 Ampoule is also a great basic hydrating serum that I can use regularly. And for sunscreens, some of my favorites are HERA UV Protector Fresh, SKIN1004 sunscreen and AESTURA Derma UV365 Hydro/Barrier sunscreen. I’m also testing quite a few other products right now, especially products aimed at sensitive skin and barrier repair, but I don’t want to call them holy grails yet until I’ve used them for longer. So apparently asking me for my holy grails was dangerous because I have way too many 😂 But if I had to narrow it down to the products I trust the most when my skin is unhappy, AESTURA would definitely dominate the list. What are your holy grails or favorite products for rosacea and sensitive skin? I’d love to hear your recommendations too, especially since it sounds like we deal with some of the same skin issues!
@Veky So what I'm learning is that I should have started with AESTURA instead of COSRX products, lol. But that snail mucin was my gateway product! 🤣 I'm heartened to hear that there are Vit C products you've used successfully. I wanted someone to hold my hand when I first tried retinol, lol! Vitamin C sounds terrifying. So, right now I'm in Rosacea Jail because I flew too close to the sun by trying a new cleanser and ended up with allergic contact dermatitis. I'll give you my grails in order of Lobster Skin damage control 🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞 Emergency Barrier Rx Grails: Avene Thermal Water and a giant squeeze tube of Vaseline 🦞🦞🦞🦞 Barrier Flare Grails Tap water or MAKE PREM Safe Me milky toner, COSRX Hydrium toner, CYoung Hana Cream (daytime), LSP Cicaplast Baum (night) 🦞🦞🦞 Barrier Maintenance ETUDE SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief micellar water or Iunik Beta Glucan ampoule cleanser, COSRX Hydrium toner, and CYoung Hana Cream 🦞🦞 Calm(ish) Barrier COSRX Low pH Micellar Water or Iunik Beta Glucan ampoule cleanser, Innisfree Green Tea Ceramide Milky Toner, Mary + May eye cream (because I have so many samples!) and CYoung Hana Cream. Abib Heartleaf toner pads for a weekly treat. or if I'm teetering toward maintenance again: COSRX Low pH Micellar Water or Iunik Beta Glucan ampoule cleanse + The I'm From Mugwort entire line. Skinfood carrot pads for a treat. 🦞 Barrier of Steel COSRX Low pH Micellar Water or Iunik Beta Glucan ampoule cleanser, TirTir Milky Toner, COSRX 0.01% retinol cream, Innbeauty Extreme Eye Cream, Dieux Instant Angel Lipid-Rich firming cream.
@hazelmoss Hahaha, snail mucin being your gateway into K-beauty is so relatable. 🤣 But yes, with everything you’ve told me about your skin, I’m VERY curious to see what happens once you’re able to properly test all those AESTURA samples you just got. You might end up joining the AESTURA cult with me. 😂 I actually love your Lobster Skin damage scale because this is pretty much how I approach my skin too. I don’t really have one fixed routine — what I use depends on what my skin is dealing with at the time. When things get really bad, I strip everything back to the products I already know my skin can tolerate, and then slowly bring other products back once my barrier is doing better. And allergic contact dermatitis on top of already having rosacea sounds absolutely miserable. 😭 I completely understand why you’re being so careful right now. I also understand being terrified of Vitamin C! 😂 I was honestly more scared of the IOPE Vitamin C Expert 40% Mask Concentrate than I was of retinol because “40% Vitamin C” sounds absolutely insane for sensitive skin. I was shocked that my skin tolerated it and actually looked so good the next morning. But I definitely wouldn’t experiment with something like that while your skin is recovering. You also made me really curious about the Innisfree Green Tea Ceramide Milky Toner! I’ve been wanting to try that one, and hearing that it made it into your calm-ish barrier routine makes me want to try it even more. 😂 I love milky toners and barrier-focused products in general, so it sounds right up my alley. I’m also curious about the MAKE PREM Safe Me Milky Toner and IUNIK Beta Glucan cleanser, and now you’ve made me want to look into the I’m From Mugwort line too. Apparently your holy grail list is just giving me another shopping list. 😭😂 For now though, 🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞 definitely deserves her thermal water and giant tube of Vaseline. 😂 I really hope the contact dermatitis settles down soon and your skin gets back to a point where you can slowly start testing all those AESTURA goodies! 💙
Love your routine I been seeing a lot of people talking bout the aestura bubble cleanser but have not tried it. What do u think about it
Thank you! 🥰 I’m glad you like my routine! I really like the AESTURA Bubble Cleanser. It cleanses well without leaving my skin feeling stripped or tight, which is really important for me because my skin is very sensitive and dry but also acne-prone. The foam is really soft and gentle too. They actually recently reformulated/updated the Bubble Cleanser, and the new version is even more focused on sensitive skin, which makes me like it even more. 😂 It’s not a “fancy” or treatment-focused cleanser, but it’s one of those reliable products I can always go back to when my skin is irritated or my barrier isn’t doing well.
