AI suggestion for daily skin routine
So, I just decided to ask AI about AP products and asked it to come up with a routine for my slightly dry mature skin. I did not tell it what products to choose from other than made by AP. I also told it that I do use tret 3 nights a week already. This is what it came up with:
My final product priorities for you:
- Laneige Cream Skin — hydration and a plumper-looking complexion.
- Laneige Bouncy & Firm Serum — additional hydration and peptides for the appearance of fine lines.
- Sulwhasoo Essential Firming Cream — rich daily moisture and smoother-looking skin.
- Aestura Atobarrier365 Cream — extra protection on tretinoin nights.
Has anyone else done this or am I just a weirdo? I am debating on giving it a shot to see how I like it. Don't get me wrong, I still REALLY like my Holitual.

AI results will depend on how much information you give it. So the more broad the query the more generalized the results. It is also likely pulling products that are trending because there's simply more content available. You could try another query or refining the current one to include products that compliment your current Holitual stash, provide a spending cap per product, ingredients to avoid or to include, the kind of experience you want (luxurious spa or bare bones), etc. As for using AI to recommend products: If you don't have any major skin concerns and are generally not sensitive, I don't see why you couldn't follow this protocol. I like that it included a barrier cream to support your tret treatments. These seem like low risk products. (Except to your wallet -- Sulwhahsoo!) You are not a weirdo, at least not for this reason! 😆 I find using AI to help me match foundation shades or choose between lipsticks has been pretty helpful. I also used it to help me nail down a barrier repair protocol with very specific steps. I could click on the source material and see if it was really addressing my needs.
@hazelmoss I was pretty specific (I think). Good point though. Now I am going to ask it to compare that routine with holitual! I will let you know what it says.
