Body Hacks Using Facial Skincare ✨
We’ve all seen standard items like snail mucin, reedle shots, and chemical exfoliants on our feeds. But the real game-changer is taking these highly concentrated products and using them on different parts of the body to treat stubborn skin concerns.
If you live out in the town, you can easily grab these items off Coupang or domestic delivery apps and try these alternative application hacks right at home:
- The Underarm Odor & Tone Reset (Salicylic Acid Cleanser) 🧴
- How to use it: Apply a facial salicylic acid (BHA) cleanser directly to dry underarms before showering, leave it on for 2 to 3 minutes like a quick mask, and then rinse it off completely.
- Frequency: Use 2 to 3 times a week during your pre-wash shower routine. Safety tip: Never do this on days you shave to avoid severe stinging.
- The Benefit: Salicylic acid cuts through stubborn oil and dead skin buildup. It lowers the pH level of the skin, killing off the specific bacteria that cause underarm odor while slowly fading dark friction marks.
- What to use: COSRX Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser.
- The Inner-Thigh Friction Brightener (Niacinamide Serum) 🦵
- How to use it: Apply 3–4 drops of a standard facial niacinamide serum directly to the inner thighs or groin area right after showering, allowing it to dry fully before putting on clothes.
- Frequency: Apply once daily, every day right after you shower.
- The Benefit: Niacinamide treats hyperpigmentation at the source. Regular application targets dark spots and uneven tone caused by chronic clothing friction and rubbing.
- What to use: Anua Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Serum.
- The Keratosis Pilaris "Erasing" Press (Reedle Shot) 🪡
- How to use it: Press a small amount of a spicule serum firmly into the rough, bumpy skin on the backs of your upper arms (strawberry skin) or thighs once a week.
- Frequency: Use 1 to 2 times a week in the evening on completely dry skin.
- The Benefit: The microscopic marine needles break up hardened keratin plugs buried deep in the pores, flattening stubborn bumps much faster than regular body lotions.
- What to use: VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100.
- The Hand & Neck Age Reversal (Snail Mucin) 🖐️
- How to use it: Instead of applying it to your face, massage a full pump of snail mucin onto the backs of your hands and down your neck while your skin is still wet from the shower.
- Frequency: Safe to use every day, morning and night on damp skin.
- The Benefit: The skin on your hands and neck has very few oil glands and thins out quickly. Snail mucin introduces immediate elasticity, plumping up crepey texture and fading sun spots.
- What to use: COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence.
- The Back Acne Clearing Tonic (Glycolic Acid Exfoliant) 🧖
- How to use it: Transfer a standard 7% glycolic acid facial toner into a clean spray bottle. After showering, mist it evenly across your back and upper shoulders, allowing it to absorb for a minute before getting dressed.
- Frequency: Use 3 times a week (every other night) in the evening after your shower. Safety tip: This increases sun sensitivity, so wear sunscreen if your back will be exposed to daylight.
- The Benefit: Glycolic acid easily breaks the bonds holding dead skin cells together over large surface areas. This rapid shedding keeps pores clear and prevents deep cystic body breakouts without drying out your skin.
- What to use: Mediheal Phyto-Enzyme Peeling Pad liquid or any standard 7% Glycolic Acid liquid.
- The Overnight Foot Callus Dissolver (High-Strength AHA Peel) 🦶
- How to use it: Apply a high-strength facial exfoliating wash-off mask (like a 30% AHA peel) directly onto rough heel calluses. Put on a pair of old cotton socks to lock it in, leave it on for 15 minutes, then thoroughly rinse it off in the shower.
- Frequency: Strictly once a week in the evening before bed.
- The Benefit: Facial chemical peels are incredibly potent. Applying them to the feet quickly dissolves stubborn, dead skin structures, letting you bypass aggressive physical filing or scraping.
- What to use: Isntree Chestnut AHA 8% Clear Essence (or similar high-percentage wash-off formulas).

@Annie Wow, thank you for all this info! I haven’t tried it on myself yet, but after reading this, I’m definitely grabbing some BHA/salicylic acid for my husband. He has incredibly sensitive underarms—most antiperspirants and deodorants cause his lymph nodes to swell and turn red, though it clears up as soon as he stops using them. We’ve tried everything! For a while, he actually used a facial toner under his arms and it worked great, but he hated having to reapply it halfway through the day (ironic, since he's a chemistry teacher!). He also gets some dark discoloration there, which is strange. I'm going to have him try a BHA once or twice a week to see if it helps! I am also going to try the Isntree Chestnut AHA 8% Clear Essence for my heels! Keep sharing the knowledge. This is G R E A T!!!
