โœจ GLP-1 Wellness Combo: Protect Your Glow & Muscle Tone! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿฅค

Protecting your skin structure and lean muscle is essential during rapid weight loss on GLP-1 medications.
When your overall food intake drops, intentional supplementation ensures your body keeps the specific nutrients it needs to thrive from the inside out.

๐Ÿ’– The GLP-1 Skincare Power Duo

โ€ข Collagen Peptides (Lumi): Supports skin elasticity and firmness. Rapid volume loss can sometimes lead to a loose or deflated appearance (often called "GLP-1 face"). Drinking targeted collagen peptides supplies the amino acid building blocks necessary to maintain skin bounce and structural integrity. Be sure to dilute in water of juice. It's pretty potent.

โ€ข Whey Protein (Savas Muscle Elite): Preserves lean muscle mass. Lean muscle is what keeps your metabolism high and provides the structural foundation for your entire body. Reaching your daily protein goals protects this muscle so you lose fat, not tone.

๐Ÿ“ Quick Tips for Success

โ€ข Space them out: Take your collagen in the morning as part of your beauty routine, and use your whey protein post-workout or as a satisfying mid-day snack.
โ€ข Hydrate consistently: Both protein and rapid weight loss require extra water intake to keep your skin plump and glowing.
โ€ข Listen to your digestion: Because GLP-1s slow down your stomach, sip your shakes slowly to avoid feeling overly full or bloated.

Saving this!! Keep adding products that work. My GLP-1 Defense list focus: ๐ŸŒพ Fiber - digestion side effects ๐Ÿฅฉ Protein - muscle protection, satiety, and keeping the brain out of famine mode ๐Ÿฎ Collagen - smooth gut, smooth skin, boosts protein (added ingredient) ๐ŸŠ Nutritional supplementation - nothing insane, just patching any gaps. Daily women's multivitamin, fiber gummies, B12 (energy), iron (energy), inexpensive probiotic (digestion + UT support), and magnesium glycinate (muscles, sleep) Habit Stacking + "Good Enough" Options: ๐Ÿ“š Collagen Peptides mixed into my morning coffee with full fat half 'n half (we still need healthy fats for brain function and satiety.) The clinical evidence that is available suggests that many of the collagen powders provide twice as much collagen per suggested serving than is needed for efficacy. However, I need that 18 grams of protein, so I stick with the 20 gram collagen serving. I just enjoy the extra "slip" the excess collagen gives my digestion. ๐Ÿคญ ๐Ÿ“š High fiber cereal with oat milk: I need to take medication first thing in the morning but struggle to swallow pills. I get 7 grams of fiber right out the gate, the soothing effects of oats on my stomach, and the 1st round of meds are down. I feel full and ready to go. ๐Ÿ“š Snacks: Jelly sticks that incorporate either collagen and/or fiber like Foodology Coleology Bowel Movement Jelly help give a digestive boost and a fun little treat that's easy to toss into my work bag. -- Warning: the Foodology Centella Collagen jellies are fantastic too but centella/gotu kola is contraindicated for use with sedatives. ๐Ÿคข Side Effects: Sensitive Gag Reflex I've replaced almost all of my supplements with gummy versions when I can since I usually need food to force tablets and capsules down. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธโ€โžก๏ธ Easy, on the run protein and healthy fats to help hit those macros: - greek yogurt - chicken or turkey jerky sticks - Aldi single-serving bags of nut and cranberry trail mix + Aldi dark chocolate bars (break up the chocolate and toss it in the bag for a rich and delicious antioxidant boost) Per Medical Advice: โš•๏ธ Viviscal Pro supplements: In addition to keeping a close eye on protein, this is my derm's first approach to GLP-1 hair fall. This supplement helps ease the brain's panic over weight loss and decrease in calorie load by saying, "here, look at all the nutrients!." This has been effective for reducing the amount of shed I started experiencing this summer. This is step one. I need to book a follow up appointment to see where we go from here.
